The printing method used is called flex print.  It is extremely durable and safe to use with children.  The printed area itself has a shiny surface that is smooth to touch.   You'll get most enjoyment out of our funny aprons if you wash them at no more than 30°C, don't tumble dry and, if you iron them, you do so on the non-printed side!
