• we only use child-safe beads (following DIN EN 71) made in Germany from sustainably grown wood. 
  
• the beads have rounded edges to prevent your baby's gums from being hurt and they're sweat and saliva-resistant although you may notice some wear as your baby massages his or her teething gums on the dummy chain.  Please note that this is NOT actually a teething aid or toy!
  
• your wooden dummy chain may vary slightly from the one you see here to make sure that it complies with safety regulations!  A dummy chain is not allowed to measure more than 22cm (excl clip) in order to comply with regulations DIN EN 12586.  We add more coloured beads for short names and use less non-motive beads for longer names.
